I'm 52 years old, a computer systems analyst by trade. I'm a private pilot with a long-standing interest in aviation and the space programs.
I like to motorcycle, run R/C Cars and Helicopters and shoot for fun and competition. I enjoy building robots of all kinds, both one-off designs and using LEGO Mindstorms components. I enjoy all types of gaming - PC, console video gaming and arcade machines. I also like to play GO (poorly) and strategy board games of all types. I am a long-time war games and miniatures enthusiast. |
| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

I think the SETI@home project is a great idea and an excellent way to put otherwise wasted compute resources to work.
I do believe in "life out there" but I doubt it will be found in my lifetime due to dwindling commitment by our government to pursuit of knowledge via the space program. We should have been to Mars by now, and back to the Moon any number of times. Very sad... |
