Personal background |
I'm a South African, currently working as a sub-contractor in the international military Radar enviroment.
Being familiar with the different aspects of radar, I appreciate the intricasies of the SETI project and therefore love assisting with the number crunching exercise.
I started my SETI experience in December 2000, after a 3 month visit to Ecuador, where a collegue introduced me to SETI.
I got home on the 18th Dec 2000 and immediately setup my SETI account, I've gone over to the SETI-BOINC project after having completed 13 313 work-units and dedicating over 61,560 hours CPU time on SETI@Home "classic".
I later became involved in the beta testing of the first BOINC client software and currently have 3 machines fulltime on the BOINC project running SETI@Home, SETI@Home Beta and the malaria project. |
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |
I run SETI in the hope that ET life exists and someday meet one of them.
I would like ET to take me on a ride through the universe to see it from a different angle. You know.......give you a new perspective on things.
My views......I think it's GREAT work, and a damn fine project.(albeit with a couple of glitches now and then) |
