Personal background
Hi

Have travelled the world, personally and professionally. Am always amazed at the difference in language, food, ways of thinking and values held by individuals and culture.

Worked in IT, Banking, Management Consulting and now have own (little) business doing leadership and team development in organisaitons.

Currently enrolled in Masters (Chaos, Complexity and Creativity) in Sydney after working overseas for about 7 years. Learning to enjoy the sun and the sand again.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Just imagine!! Please!!

Given all the differences here on our tiny little speck and the small amount of time we've been here - there has to be something or someone else out there.

Occasionally I am a fatalist and think that we have to have a visit one day. Then I think, it's such a vast universe with very little chance of a visit occurring here and now. Then I think, there is so much we don't know about (is it 11 dimensions or 26 dimensions that best describes our KNOWN universe?).

Should we transmit? Why not, we're doing a lot worse than that at the moment. Could produce a world of good, even if we never get discovered.

Why? Because I want to and if we ever find a signal, wouldn't that put the wind up humanity.
