Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Do you think extraterrestrial life exists?
Don't know, tell me when it's found
If so, when and how will humans discover it?
When ET is good and ready to be discovered.
What are the possible benefits and dangers of such a discovery?
IF ET turns out to be slightly diferent to us we will either run and hide or try to master it. We are not ready to meet with ET, unless we can live as 1 people and truly love each other for what we all are.

Should humans transmit a beacon for others to find?
Yes, if we want to be seen we have got to stand up and wave our hands.
If so, what information should we send?
Doesn't realy matter, ET would be more advanced than us, would possably see through all the rubbish we would try to hide behind.

Let's try to contact ET, if ET is nice then it will possably shy away from us, that only leaves a not so nice ET, We have a lot to learn about ourselves before ET would be interested in us.

Why do you run SETI@home? Curiosity i guess, If ET is found It may be of benefit, but not for the next 2000 years, by that time we will have either killed each other or grown up and become adults.
