| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

One of the reasons I joined SETI@home is because I'm convinced that planet Earth is not the only living planet in the universe. When you start to realize how big the universe really is and how many stars there are out there, it's a bit silly to think that our planet would be the only one to support intelligent life. I just know there must be life out there somewhere.
I don't know whether we can detect that life or not, but I surely hope that proof of extraterrestrial intelligent life will be discovered within my lifetime. Whether the SETI@home project will find that proof or not, I'm proud to be a part of it. |
