Personal background
Hi there!
I am a full time student in Napier Uni in Edinburgh, Scotland studying a Degree in Software Engineering. I am 20years old and have only just connected to Seti@home. A mate of mine told me about it and now both my machines at home run it :)
I love anything to do with computers and also the universe (Stars, Planets, Galaxies, ET).
My hobbies are computing, website design, clubbing and meeting new people.
I look forward to helping Seti@home and look forward to maybe one day finding something out there.

Taz.

P.S A pic will be attached soon :)
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I think there is a very high possibility of extraterrestrial life existing, I find it hard to believe that we are the only things alive in the whole Universe.
I think we will either discover it by doing as we are just now and using everyones PCs to help (seti@home) or they will contact us when they want us to find them.
There is more chance of others finding us if we help them in everyway possable, and sending a beacon out it just one of those ways. I think it should broadcast a program that shows others what we are like, what our world looks like and also information how they could contact us. It should also trasmit a sound that is maybe musical or just repetitive so that they will realise its not just a random signal and maybe home in on the beacon.
The reason I run Seti@home is because I am interested in what else might be out there. I would like to think that every time one more person signs up for Seti@home that is bringing us one more step closer to finding others out there.
I think seti is a worth while project, ask anyone and Im sure if they really ask themselves they will not believe we are alone.
