Personal background
About Myself

My name is Dan, and I'm 14 years old. I am in grade 9 at New Town High School, New Town, Hobart, Tasmania, Australia.
I enjoy programming in VBSCRIPT using Microsoft's ASP technology, even though I don't like Microsoft much at all. (Doesn't mean they don't make good software)I believe the chicken came before the egg, for scientific reasons, and think that the glass is neither half-full or half-empty because it is extremely unlikely that the substance in the glass has EXACTLY half the amount of atoms that the glass can hold. If it did have exactly half, it would probably only be for an instant since some of the substance could evaporate etc. There is also other factors to consider, that I won't go into, such as glass is a slow moving liquid therefore the precise volume that it can hold could vary quite quickly, plus more.

Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Yes, I think that extraterrestrial life exists. I doubt whether humans will ever discover it, as it is probably in a galaxy far away. It'd be cool to transmit a beacon, I'm not sure what information should be sent - perhaps none at all, which would leave the decision to the civilisation that find it to do what they want (eg. try and find us). If a message was to be left, it would have to be done so in a language that the finder could decode.
I run SET@home to be cool. I doubt it will find anything.
