| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

1.
Yes, extraterrestrial life exists. We will discover it in the form of bacteria at first, later on (when we are farther away from Earth) we might discover intelligent life. The danger is that there is a possibility that the discovery will be misused for warfare (see our past).
2.
Yes, we should sent a beacon. It should contain pictures of the Earth, different types of music and samples of our cultures. (We already did this once... isn't it??)
3.
I think it is important for human kind to look for new lifeforms anywhere, including space. This is one way I can contribute to this search for lifeforms.
The project brings people from all different types of backgrounds together... some might not even know it, but even enemies are working together with this. Human kind can work together on something if they really want to and put aside their differences.
