I am a 47 yr old native of Oregon, and work in the welding trade. My idle
time is spent in such activities as crossword puzzles, reading (sci-fi is my
preferred fiction genre), and immersing myself in the web.

| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

I have been positive that there is extraterrestrial life for years.
While watching Skylab pass over as a young man, I observed an unknown object in a parallel
orbit and slightly behind the spacecraft. Of course it was only a point of
light in the sky, much as Skylab was, but it was there nonetheless. My mother
and I stood many a morning watching for the satellite, and would vie to view
it first. We both saw the two objects until they disappeared over the horizon.
This unto itself is no proof, but it is the closest indication I've seen that
life beyond our sphere is indeed present. |
