Personal background
I have been running SETI@home Classic for over 6 years on various computers through the years. I have completed more work units than 97.529% of other SETI@home Classic users and at present have completed 2755 SETI@home Classic work units. I am now going to give SETI-BOINC a try as SETI-Classic is soon going to end. I am besides SETI also interested in anything involving aerodyanmics and flight. From hang gliding, ultralights and airplanes, to parachuting, model, experimental, and amateur rocketry, Frisbees, boomerangs, kites and anything else that flys. Rocketry being my main focus at present. I also like kayaking, rock climbing, bouldering, hiking and camping and my four kitty cats. Check out my web page for more on my interests ans hobbies.

Regards,

Jim

Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I think the search for extraestrial life is a worthwhile cause and hopefully will someday reveal some positive results. To be able to participate in such a nobel effort is an honour. Plus I am of the school of thought that your computer is better off being left on than turning it on and off all the time. So while my computer is just setting there it might as well be doing some work that might benifit mankind and hopefully find something that would verify that there is other intelligent life in the universe besides us earthlings.
