Does extraterrestrial life exists? YES it does!!!
I suspect life may be very common in places where conditions are favorable. I suspect advanced and intelligent life may be a rare thing. I do think there are signals out there waiting for SETI to detect.
The benefits of detecting a signal can only make our world a better place. It is easy to imagine the wonders in extraterrestrial signals we may learn from. I feel we are ready to listen and understand an ET signal.
Should we transmit a beacon for others to find? We have been sending signals out into space for a long time now. If ET is looking for us, they may find us when our existing radio signals reach their world.
