Personal background |
I'm 25 right now, living in Kitchener, Ontario, Canada.
I just finished my CompTIA A certification exams, looking for a job in the field of IT or as a computer technician.

Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |
I would definately have to say that there is extraterrestrial life out there somewhere, that could, for all we know, be thinking and doing the same as us.
Benefits could be astronomical, such as knowledge and/or technology. Of course there is always a chance that there is going to be some sort of danger involved.
If we did send a beacon, there is no guarantee that even if it was received it could even be interpreted at all, let alone properly (the way it is intended).
I run SETI@home because I want to help out with the project and this is the absolute easiest way possible.
I do have a suggestion: I would like to be able to run the program with a RAM Disk - so my hard drive can spin down once in a while. |
