Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
It seems foolish to think that extraterrestrial life [b]doesn't exist. But will we recognize it as life when we see it?

The signals we send out already (radio, tv) are pretty loud - I think that's enough. And probably sufficient to scare away anyone intelligent enough to see all the violence we portray daily.

I run SETI@home because I thought it was a cool project. I really like the collaborative aspect of it, and the fact that, individually, this would take any of us more than our lifetimes to process, but collectively, we can process immense amounts of data. Pretty neat!
