I know there's life in other worlds than our little planet Earth. The only question is when (or if) we get in contact with other species or aliens if you may.
The advantages of getting in touch with an alien society might be great, cure for deseases, enhanced technology and world peace. There's always a risk of meeting hostile aliens but i think it's small. Why would they as little as us wanna get into a war just because we're different?
I've been taking part in the SETI@home signal decoding for a couple of years, with a half year long break. Now i'm back since january 2002.
