Work at Sydney University.
Age early 50's, no more detail than that.
Followed the SETI project since its inception. Set up multiple computers with SETI@home as screensaver, It's better than the Windows 'flag'
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1. I think it not only possible but probable that life exists elsewhere in the Universe. Whether we will discover it is problematic due to the distances involved.
2. No. It's a waste of time and energy with our technology at its present level. We've been advertising our presence for over a century now so security of the planet is not an issue.
3. I run SETI@home to put otherwise useless CPU time to a good use.
SETI@home and Astropulse are funded by grants from the National Science Foundation, NASA, and donations from SETI@home volunteers. AstroPulse is funded in part by the NSF through grant AST-0307956.
