Personal background
Right where do I start, well I live in a smallish town in North Wales I'm ex RAF, I was medically discharged in June '00 after a motorcycle accident back in Nov '97, I now have to use a walking stick to get around.

I'm now retired so have a load of spare time on my hands, I like messing about with computers, driving, watching the Discovery channel on Sky along with watching movies/DVD's (big collection of those :) ), I like to build models (I know, but it's a great way to relax, that's my excuse :-D), I have my own house and live alone with my dog, he's a Rough coat Jack Russel with the name of Scruff :D (he's a rescue dog and that's the name they gave hime, he was in a right state when I first had him)...

At the moment I'm fighting the dreaded 'C', been on treatment now for just under 2yrs and will have to stay on it for at least a couple more years if not for longer, still we have to keep a smile, and give it a good kicking once in a while...:-D
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
My computers are on 24/7 running SETi, the way I look at it, they don't use a great deal of electric, so why have some high tech computer sat doing nothing when they could be looking...

If we just sit about doing nothing life will just pass us by, same as if there if any life outside this planet of ours, if we don't look/listen for it, they may just pass us by and that would be a huge loss for us...
