Personal background |
At the age of 8 I had a Apple 2E with a 2400 baud modem and dialed every bbs i could get a number for. At age 10 I got a top of the line 486 with dos and windows 3.11. Soon after, I developed an interest in taking computers apart and building them. The 486 turned from being 50 mhz to overclocked 75mhz with 32meg of ram and windows 95. I then got another computer, a pentium 200mhz mmx with 64mb of ram. I still dialed bbs's, but only on my trusty 28.8bps modem. I got so interested in computers I networked my house when i was 14. I went through high school and started doing things at a technology center. This is when my curiousity struck, with getting the administrators password on a NT 4 system. Soon after that they hired me as a LAN manager when I was 16. I am 19 now and going to DeVry in Addison, IL. My current machine is a Pentium 4 1.5ghz overclocked to 1.6ghz with 512mb ram running windows XP pro. I have tried to install SETI@home on every computer I can get my hands on. It is only recently that I remembered I still had a e-mail on here. |
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |
I believe there is definitly life out there. I am a sci-fi freak, so I am assuming they are much more advanced than us. With this assumption, I believe that we don't have to look for them, they will contact us. They have probably been studying us for a long time, so they know all our communications, and if they wanted our attention, they would have the technology to use any means. |
