Personal background
Hi!

My name is Przemek, i'm 15 years old, and I live in Warsaw, Poland.
I'm a SETI@Home member for two years [since year 2000], I've joined the SETI after watching a TV show about it.
I'm interested in mobile telecommunication systems, especially GSM, but I'm also learning about 3G systems.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home

Of course I do believe that the extraterriestrial life exists. Our universe is so big, that there must be live on another planet. Even on thousands of other planets. Im my opinion thinking, that live is only on Earth is very egoistic.
Benefits of discovering the extraterretrial life? Hmm... Let me think. I think that we could learn many things from and extraterriestrial civilisation. We could learn new technologies, advance our medicine, art, maybe even politics.
Dangers? I think, that it's possible to misunderstand the bahevior of extraterretrial civilisation in case of entering into relations with it, which could possibly cause war, or something even worse.

Yes, whe should transmit beacon for others, cause it will increase chance of discovering another civilisation. I think we should send information that we are friendly attitude to others, and that we would like to cooperate in peace for better understandig of the niverse and ourselves.

I run SETI@Home, because it don't cost me anything, but it can possibly give us a lot of new experiences and let us learn more about ourselves and the whole universe.
