The things with which I fill my time include music (writing it, arranging it, listening to it, playing it, singing it), computers (playing with them, programming them, fighting with them), and endless philosophizing about artificial intelligence and the nature of human life. |

| I think searching for extraterrestrial intelligence is valuable to the way humankind views its own existence. I believe that there is extraterrestrial life, and I think that, barring some sort of freakish ID-4 anomoly, discovering it could only be beneficial. Humanity is staggering along (drunkenly, but all right), but we have been known to walk straight into a lamppost from time to time. I think we could use a second opinion, or at least a splash of cold water in the face. |
