Profile: GameBlazer

Personal background
I'm Mike Spahn, more commonly known as GameBlazer where I frequent. I'm a 19-year old student at Cal State Northridge, and a rather huge-ish Star Wars/ Star Trek freak. I'm also a huge fan of old Video Game Music, and frequently visit OverClocked Remix. I also emulate a lot of old games, especially arcade games.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I've always hoped/dreamed that First Contact would, unlike in Star Trek, not have to happen once we've had to fight a third World War, and develop faster-than-light travel. It should be that instead, any alien intelligence should come to us, and save this planet from the extinction it is so rapidly spiraling towards. I'd like to think that we're not just a failed branch of evolution, to be replaced by cockroaches in an eon or so. I run SETI@home because I want to do whatever it takes to make sure that when THE message arrives, we're able to receive it and understand it. We've got to get help from somewhere, and the only logical place is out THERE.
