Personal background
I'm from the UK, I'm 18 and I'm teaching myself graphic & web design applications (Photoshop, Illustrator, GoLive, Dremweaver etc.) and languages (HTML, XHTML, JavaScript, CSS and PHP). I'm also teaching myself digital and traditional photography. I use a Sony DSC-S75 (used to take the ladybird photo) and a Canon EOS-5 35mm. I recently converted from using a PC to using a Mac and loving every minute of its unlocking-up OS's 9.2.1 & 10.1.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I've always been an absolute believer in science as apposed to mythology/mysticism (religion). I also believe without doubt that aliens do exist. I don't think they're green, have almond eyes and fly in saucer shaped vehicles. There's a lot of space out there, it's highly likely that somewhere out there, is another form of life. We're here, so why shouldn't they exist?

Anyway, SETI@home is just one of the many things I think the world should be doing. Science rather than religion can advance our species. However, I believe religion will wipe out a majority, if not all of us soon (in next thousand years or so). By turning to science, we may stand a chance. Oh, and for all you religous maniacs who think science will destroy us; it can, in the hands of religion. =P
