1- YES
2- NO if they do exist close enough to pick up our RF transmissions they will contact us. I suspect that they have been watching us for a long time.
3- If we do find a coherent signal, even if we can't deciper it, it will give us a good reason to step up our research in space exploration and quiet down some of the people that think that we are the center of the universe and are not unique. |
