Personal background
Me!? I'm a 20 year old student at the University of Portsmouth studying a very rare degree in Computer.....

Not much else about me.....I do like bikes.....motor bikes. Yes, pedal power really doesn't appeal to me. That would require exercise.

My gorgeous baby (whose name is Suzy according to my friends), is a Suzuki Bandit 600N with a Micron Beta can which my mates also tell me is a polished scaffolding tube.

Nuff said I guess.

Ooh! I also like Bond movies. I've played an extra part in the movie The World Is Not Enough. I only turned out to be a pixel but who cares when your in a Bond movie!

You can also check out my out of date website that I built for the 2nd Unit Director (Vic Armstrong), of the last three Bond movies! http://www.stuntsincorporated.co.uk/

Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
SETI@home is one of the coolest projects I've seen for a long time. I joined in 2000 but my poor ol' pooter was only a K6-2 500 and wasn't really up to crunching those units. However, I now have an Athlon XP which is more than happy to crunch away!

I kinda gave up on SETI@home for about 6 months and then came back to after doing a project of Grid computing which is how SETI@home works!

Why did I leave!? The idea that I could have found alien life in those six months got me doing again and my new aim is to do two units every day. Especially when I'm busy working away at uni.....

My thoughts on finding an alien....Personally I think we should contact them with caution. Chances of finding an ET that wants to wipe us out is pretty slim I reckon. Why destroy us!? We're probably prehistoric to them! But yes I think it's important to get in contact with alien life. It'll be human destiny some day, (if we last that long).

Anyhow....good luck to everyone and fingers crossed we find that little green martian!

Peace!
