Personal background

Hi, I am from Houston Texas and a soon-to-be-graduating student at University
of Houston Downtown.
I have been running Seti off of my home computer for several years, but this
semester I took a class in Astronomy and learned a little more about it.

Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
My opinion about extraterrestrial life? Well, let's assume that the universe
began all at one time. The Big Bang theory. And how long did it take for
OUR civilization to arrive at where it is now? I figure that while there
probably is life on other planets, the life is only at the most at the level
of intelligence that we are right now. And that life is probably pretty far
away from us here on earth. So, if they ARE sending out signals..consider how
many light years it would take to arrive at our doorstep!

Anyway, that's the opinion of ME. And what do I know? I have only taken ONE
Astronomy class. Ask my lab partner Billy. He knows the REAL story.

Why do I run Seti@home? Because my opinion is probably wrong.
