| I am an IT Project Manager in the retail industry. I enjoy golf, soccer, watching ice hockey, and watching pro football. I collect music and bar mirrors. I enjoy books about micro- and macro-cosmology, short stories by Stephen King, and Tom Clancy novels. |
| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |
Upon hearing about SETI some years ago, I was intrigued. I had always wanted to search for the proverbial needle of life in a haystack of wonders. Upon hearing about SETI@Home, I immediately installed the software and the rest is and will hopefully make history.
Extra-Terrestrial Life does exist, we just haven't found it yet. I believe a majority of life present in the universe does not have the same technology that sends out their "beacon" like us humans have. The discovery of intelligent life will not happen in my lifetime, nor will any "conversation" that we may have with them but to not try would be the greater tragedy. |
