I am a nurse living in north Alabama. I like to garden, read and watch SETI eat through those work units. My husband and I became interested in SETI because of our admiration for Dr. Carl Sagan and his work.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I'm not 100% sure about extraterrestrial life although my husband is a firm believer. I do find it hard to believe we're the only life in the universe. Certainly if there is other life we could benefit greatly from any knowledge they have which might be more advanced and they could benefit from us if we're more advanced. While there can be danger in the unknown, where would we be if no one had the courage to move forward in spite of it? We run SETI as a tribute to Dr. Carl Sagan whom we admired very much. We miss him and believe he would approve of our participation in the search.
