Profile: Dean Clark

Personal background
I've been teaching English as a foreign language in China and Japan for the past 2 1/2 years, and expect to start teaching Business English in Germany in about a year and a half. I currently assist Japanese jr. high school teachers most weekdays, but particularly enjoy the Business English class I teach at Toshiba on Saturdays. I worked at a data processing center till it closed after 9/11. Interests include SQL and Prolog programming, creating and listening to computer and otherwise electronic music, reading Shakespeare and Marlowe plays, and learning Chinese characters.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
The first disagreement I remember having with a teacher, in 6th grade, was over whether there was life on other planets. I particularly like the grass-roots aspect of SETI@home. Very much preferred the screensaver for the classic version, though.
