Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
As large as the galaxy is....it would be ignorant to assume that we are the only intelligent life in it. I feel that eventually, extraterrestrial life will show up here,if they haven't already. If we could get technological information from them, the benefits would be tremendous. The dangers would be if they were not friendly....Humans should transmit a beacon for others to find....I would like for us to send them information on our achievments.....and information about the good qualities in humans...also information about our beautiful planet.I run SETI at home because it completely fascinates me, and I truely enjoy being a part of this project. I think it is wonderful that regular people...get to be a part of SETI.

************************************************************In the year 2025 we plan to send up a fleet of orbiting telescopes, flying in laser guided formation. Each will be many times more powerful than the Hubble telecope. The telescopes won't be looking for the wobbling stars, like the Hubble Telescope, they will look straight at the planet itself. They will look at the atmosphere and perhaps even tell us if there is life. One day we will be able to look out into space...and see other worlds like ours.
