Personal background
HI, i'm from Belgium(that country surrounding Brussels for all you uncultivated people; and as for the Germans: Belgium lies not in Germany, do not make the mistake a third time). To be more precise i'm from Middelkerke a small coasie town, exept in summer when all the polluting idiots come, on the Belgian coast and i'm interested in lots of things among with the possibilities and fascinating secrets of space. But it is purely a laymans curiousity.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I suspect there must be life somewhere out there, even if the odds are not in our favour men should try to find answers and men wil try for it is in our nature to explore and find answers to the questions that linger in our inquisitive minds. If we find anything is not my greatest concern, I'll be probably dead by the time, but we must try even if it is a longshot.
Should we find something I hope we wil have changed for violence and war also seem to be in our nature.
The reason I run SETI@home: I'm Belgian, my country's creed is union makes might, since there is so much work I simply would like to do my share.

PS: I'm looking forward to the 25th may 2005, if i'm not mistaken Nostradamus said aliens would land that day. I'm sceptic but curious.
