Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I hope within the next 50 years or so the SETI program will find that there is life somewhere else besides here. The benefit of finding that there is other life somewhere else would be the knowledge that we are not alone. Other than that though the distance between us would probably be too great to learn much more in the near future, since the questions we would ask would not be answered until many future generations later. But who knows what we will receive from SETI@home. We need to keep looking. Don't think life elsewhere would present any danger to us here on earth. Most likely it would be too far away for us to worry about.

I think the SETI @ home program is a really great idea. I joined up because I wanted to help. It uses unlimited computer power that would otherwise be doing nothing. I think you should advertise the SETI@home program more. I sure will.
