The question of whether extraterrestrial life exists, specifically intelligent terrestrial life, is a difficult one to come to terms with. Are we prepared for the answer "yes"? Personally, I don't think the human race is ready for that answer quite yet. However, it is the sort of question that we cannot ignore. One of the driving forces of humanity is the desire to learn that which we do not know, to expand our understanding of the worldaround us, and to chart the unknown. In that spirit, I offer my spare CPU cycles. An affirmative answer would challenge our views of our self.
