Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Berkley> Why do you run SETI@home?
Yorokobi> Largely based on the idea that if everyone were to contribute a small portion of their systems time to it, the cumulative benefits would be collosal. With that in mind, I want to do my small share for the global community.
Berkley>What are your views about the project?
Yorokobi> I hold little hope that there will be a "Eureka" (or rather a "That's funny...") moment in my lifetime, but on the other hand I'd hate to be out of ear shot when the "phone rings" ^_^
SETI@home and Astropulse are funded by grants from the National Science Foundation, NASA, and donations from SETI@home volunteers. AstroPulse is funded in part by the NSF through grant AST-0307956.
