Personal background
I'm 27 years old Japanese male.

My favorite books and movies about universe:
"COSMOS" by Carl E. Sagan - My grandpa gave this, at when I was about 9 years old. Thereafter I sometimes read.
"2001:A Space Odyssey(series)" by Arthur C. Clarke - most favorite it.

I feel very sad that these authors(important for SETI@home) died.

I joined grid computing from Dec 2002, project is SETI@home Classic.
But I stopped processing soon after transitive to BOINC Beta, because my work will be so busy, and my PC was crashed ;-(

Today, I can't see PC for a long time because I have the trouble on my eyes, neck and shoulder. Sadly, unclear of these cause.
My PC is seems to be lazy and relax. Therefore I join BOINC again.

I'm not good at English, please forgive if I mistakes.

Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1. Why do you run SETI@home?
Because I want to contact an alien.
And SETI@home is good use of an legacy PC. Because SETI@home is it for the purpose of finding the signal, not make a credit.
(I joined Enigma@home and Einstein@home from a reason same as the above.)

2. What are your views about the project?
I feel very glad that I can cooperate with development of the grid computing even if an alien is not found.
A policy using state-of-the-art is good. (ex. CUDA tech.
But I want to support OpenCL (or ATI Stream) and CPU Optimized. (ex. SSE3, SSSE3.. and so on.

3. Any suggestions?
Happy crunching!
