| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

I have always thought that we weren't the only living thing in the Universe. In termsof discovery, we're not there quite yet on a psychological maturity level - heck, we haven't recovered from the discovery that hte Universe doesn't revolve around us... The benefits/dangers could be the same as the benefits/dangers that occured when the conquistadors met the Aztecs. However, I'm hoping we won't meet the same end as the Aztec.
I run SETI@home, cuz it's one neat program and I am really looking to find htat we really are not alone in the Universe. |
