Profile: Steve Hayhurst

Personal background

Technical Writer, web designer, and Content Management architect by trade and
artist on the side. I've been involved from the beginning with the SETI project.

I live in Kirkland, WA and so far, I have three of the four computers I own
running SETI. ;')

Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I sincerely do believe we are not alone. Statisically, there should be thouands
of of worlds in various stages of developing life out there.

If the opportunity arises, I think we do need to contact them. I would hope a
message of peace would reach them before some of the TV and Radio waves do that
we have been pumping out into space does. I shudder to think the first thing
another race would see from us is "Ishtar".

I think it is very important that we utilize the resources we have for
worthwhile causes needing distributed computing like SETI. Maybe something that
revolutionizes life on this planet will be discovered on one of my machines.
