Profile: John G. White IV

Personal background
Greetings to All SETI Members,

I reside in Mission Viejo, CA., I am 45 yrs. "young", and an employee for a nationally based engineering firm specializing in water technology. My hobbies are primarily caring for my wife of 30 years, (yeah..we had our first child as sophomores in high school..), and spending quality time with our (4) children. My interests include astrophysics, eschatology, and comparative religions studies. In my modest spare time I build mobile AM (2)way communications amplifiers from 2kw to 5kw for fun and transmitting world wide.

In closing, let there be NO doubt that intelligent life exists throughout the universe in the physical and spiritual dimensions. Whether or not a "hydrogen" based "needle in the haystack" signal will succeed is certainly plausible.
We should all consider this a great opportunity and privalage to participate.

" GO Spot ET !!! "
Respectfully, John White IV
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I believe the SETI Project to be an incredibly ambitious and visionary venture. From a liberal theological perspective, I surmize it may be possible for "hostile" entities to masquerade as "advanced beings" to assist the human race with the next evolutionary stage.(* No need to tread into fundamentalist dogma with a "white cane"....Ouch..!!!) Regardless....ANY confirmed contact with ET's would be beneficial under any circumstances. I personally run SETI@home to assist with the data processing. I am not naive enough to believe that my small contribution will be the "contactee work unit", but some of us do allegedly hit the lottery ??? Happy ET Searching !!!!
