Personal background
I am the proud husband in a beautiful marriage of 20 years and a very proud father of a beautiful daughter, I would not give them up for the world. I am also a House Husband (Domestic Engineer, hehe) but this was a family decision and I have not regretted it in over 18 years, I even do Windows, :)
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
From sources I have read and from sources seen on TV, Internet, Newsprint and from listening to Radio, YES I do believe we are not alone. As to whether I believe we should be searching out such life, I believe again YES, as I feel a culture that technicalogically advanced would be hopefully able to help with some of our Earthly problems, hopefully maybe medicine. I believe we should broadcast enough information perhaps in binary as its the simpliest to relay of our customary makeup, religious and ruling system, and maybe some simple to complex formulas to prove that the signal they recieve is not just astronomical noise. On the other hand I believe in my lifetime and in other to come will will by our mean not meet face to face with such cultures as our technology is nowhere near advacned enough unless some miracle propulsion system and life support were discovered by accident or on purpose. I also from the initial statement believe we are visited and are being observed by some form of life form and some to most of the governments are doing something to conceal this fact from us.
