| i live in western wisconsin. i am a student studying criminal justice, and military science. i am currently a cadte in the Wisconsin Army National Guard. i am also a member of a paintball team based out of the twin cities (minneapolis/st. paul) called Wild Phules. |
| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

1. yes i do believe that there has to be some form of extra terestial life somewhere in the universe. the laws of probability all but assure us that there has to be life somewhere else. i believe that they will find us first, if they havent already. they will wait until we have developed sufficiently to contact us and introduce us to the rest of the universe.
2. it couldn't hurt to send out a beacon. basic information about our planet, conditions, advances in technoligy...
3. i think that it is cool that there is a chance, all be it a small one, that i might find signs life in outer space. i think that it is a great idea. distributed computing to thousands of users is an inexpensive way to crunch tons of numbers. |
