Living in the Strathclyde area and working mainly in the IT market place, although I run my own high fidelity loudspeaker manufacturing company on the side. Hobbies include mountain biking, rugby, photography, fishing and of course music.
Long Time believer in life elsewhere in the universe just hope we find it before I revert back to star dust! |
| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

Like most people with a belief, while it isn't necessary for me to have proof to believe, I would like to know my beliefs were founded on fact and not fiction.
I believe that SETI is just one more step in satisfying mans curiosity with the benefits or pitfalls that all new discoveries bring with them. Unlike others I believe any physical contact will be beneficial "Drakes Equation" makes reference to civilisations surviving long enough without killing each other to allow me to hold onto that thought.
It would be nice if SETI e-mailed participants directly if they find any potential "hits" from the work done by the individual. |
