Personal background
I am here in hickville, USA. ATTICA, Ohio is where I live now. Surrounded by corn, soybean, and wheat for as far as the eye can see.
I work in a factory making books. School books mostly, but occasionally, we get some interesting material. The company I work for is one of the largest printers internationally. I HATE MY JOB, but dont most of us?
I love to go to CEDAR POINT, www.cedarpoint.com I was a past employee of this great place that has been voted the best amusement park on the planet. I loved this job and hope to return in the near future.
I also enjoy scanning. You know, listening in on the local yocals talking on the radios. Police, fire and ems and also listening to cp when I am up there.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Do I think there is life out there? Yes, I do and humans will discover it in the next 20 years. I hope whatever we discover is friendly, if not, they will probably be so technologicly advanced, they will whipe us out in one whack. But if they are friendly, the benifits would be so great that we might be able to actually save this planet. We could learn so much, like about fuel and space travel, and we could then colonize our surrounding planets.

I believe we should transmit a beacon. It should just be a homing beacon and the information we provide should be limited. If they are evil characters, we dont want them to know how easy it would be to whipe us out.

I run seti@home because I am interested in whats out there and I want to do my part to help out. And since I am poor, this is the easyist way.
