Personal background
I work during the day as a space industry analyst. At night, when not socializing, I'm a feelance artist specializing in space subjects. I also do the occasional portrait or landscape.

Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I am participating in the SETI@Home Project because I believe the effort to search for extraterrestrial intelligence is a worthwhile endeavor. Nevertheless, I believe that while simple life is relatively common in the Universe, metazoic life is rare, and that intelligence is rarer still. Indeed, intelligent spacefaring civilizations are probably so rare we won't encounter one for thousands of years, if not millions.

But we may hear noise out there throughout our history, like echos in a cave.
