Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1. ET life exits I think. If people will discover it in near future than it'll be only by accident :o) More probable would be that they'll contact us or let us know somehow. (If they're in such a stage of technology, because if ET is just a microbiology martian, then I see the discovery chances very poor :o)

2. Hm, good question. I think we should let'em know somehow, but if you imagine a satelitte in such an enormly huge space ... I don't know. However, I think our radio mess is quite enough for the beginning. Life on lower stage than radio couldn't help themselves with a dropped information box either.

3. I think I run SETI just to be a part of some different adventure, but one never knows ... ;o) I really hope some of us (or them?) run SETI just to be sure of how far can we get before they could be discovered ... :o)))
