| Personal background |
Well, I'm a 2000 graduate of Georgia Tech with a Computer Engineering degree and an EX-Harris 4th floor dorm resident. Currently I am a software developer for a financial company. Prior to that, I was a nuclear trained engineering Officer in the US Navy. I'm the third generation in my family to serve in the US Navy. My early years saw me in Norfolk (I was born in the Naval hospital) and Japan. Later we settled in Pensacola, FL and there, for better or worse, I grew up. I went to Pensacola High School, where I receive an International Baccalaureate diploma (and the standard high school one).
I like traveling, and my travels have taken me to Singapore, Costa Rica, Japan, Venezuela, Curacao, Jamaica, Colombia, Germany, Barbados, Austria, Puerto Rico, Aruba, UAE, Italy, and to 46 of the lower 48 states.
I have used computers since I can remember... Commodore VIC-20/64/128/Amiga, pretty much all flavors of the Apple II( ,c,e,gs),some MACS here and there, and now PCs. I'm a fan of Linux.

| If some smart dudes say that we can find other civilizations through inter-stellar radio waves, then count me in. Besides, anything exploiting distributed computing has to be cool. |
