I'm a twenty something homemaker and mother living in New England. My hobbies are construction, interior decorating and website design.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I think it's entirely possible for et life to exist simply because we do. If we discover other life out there I think it will be completely by accident not because we were looking for them. I think the main danger of such a discovery is the threat of human culture spreading even further. The benefits are endless.
I don't see any problem in transmitting a beacon. The information sent isn't really important if our main goal is just to let someone else know we're here.
I run seti@home because it's a common interest. It brings a lot of total strangers together. No pertinent views or suggestions.
