Profile: Kyle Mouttet

Personal background
Kyle. When you hear that name, what comes to your mind? Probably nothing, but you must think again! I am a child prodigy, a young master, a magnificent specimen of man! I am THE Kyle.

I'm an obnoxious American boy, age 16. I live in the sunny state of Florida. My hobbies include, but are most certainly not limited to: Writing, Computer games (Starcraft: Brood War in particular), and watching certain Animes.

Blah blah blah, I run an Athlon XP 2100 processor, 512mb PC2700 DDR SDRAM, etc blah blah. I'll upgrade it sooner or later.

Yeah, if you play Brood War, or whatever, if you want to contact me, E-mail me first and I'll add you to my buddy list on AIM (everyone not on my list is blocked.)
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I'll answer the little questionaire that they've given me right up there ^, because I'm just a little bit too stupid and boring to come up with something original.
1: Yes. Impossible to guess when we will discover life aside from that which resides upon the Earth, but we eventually will (or they will contact us, but at our current stage of development, we really aren't worth talking to). There are certainly a great deal of benifits, such as sharing of technology (well, let's face it, the sharing would be quite a bit one-sided), and a massive influx of knowledge.
The dangers? hahaha.. Too many to list. I'll just leave it at this: Most of us aren't ready to know of advanced or even primitive alien life outside of the planet Earth.

2: Yes. We should include a simple message: We exist. We should not say any more, simply because we have no fathom of what our message may mean to whoever recieves it, or what they would do with any information we give them.

3: I run this because I have a nice computer, and I hardly use it to 1/10th of its potential. The SETI@home project is an excellent program. What an idea! Use the spare processing power in the millions of computers around the world!
I've only one suggestion: Let those of us who know what we are doing have a little bit more of a part in this project :)
