I am Colombian, 46, living in Bogotá. I am an Electronic Technician, former employee for Siemens servicing medical equipment and now, working as a free lance. I got interested in SETI because I am a avid reader of Carl Sagan`s books. Also as an amateur astronomer a like everything dealing with the cosmos and of course, the likehood of extraterrestrial life. I enjoy looking the night sky and asking to myself: Are we alone?, I think that part of the answer will come via the SETI@home, so I am giving my grain of sand to support this experiment.
My firts machine was a home-brewed P4 1.7Ghz/512MbRAM/64MbVideo/40Gb@7200RPM HDD/W2K and SETI CLI. (not any more working). Now I have a home-brewed AMD Phenom9650 X4 2.3GHz/moboXFX8200/8GbRAM/VideoXFX8800Gt 512Mb/2xHDD500GbSATA2@7200rpm/LDC Dell30"/Ubuntu8.10/BOINC6.2.12. |
