Profile: WOOD

Personal background
I am from Texas and work in a foundry. It seems like I work to much to have many hobbies but I do like hiking, scuba diving, photography, staring at the stars, watch movies and try new things. My wife and I like to travel. We like to go to new places, plan where we are going and what we will do.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Is SETI really nessesary? Will SETI ever pay off and recieve a message from the stars? Time will tell. I would hope that if mankind discovered life from another plant we would have the sense to take it slow and make sure that there were no dangers to humans or the other species. Are there other life forms out there? I think so. Should we seek them out? We already are. What I worry about is that if we make contact, what would the world be like. I mean we can't even get along with each other on this world what would happen if we threw in another race from another world?
