| I'm just about ready to finish my Master of Engineering degree in Chemical Engineering and head out to the "real world". I've always been interested in space and life beyond our solar system, hence my love of Star Trek, Red Dwarf, and Star Wars. I'm also a musician and pursue art/crafts as a hobby. |

I can't wait for earth to make contact with other life forms. It's my hope that it will help us see beyond ourselves and realize that we aren't the kings of the universe. On the other hand, we probably need to learn how to get along with each other better before we go trying to "make friends" with non-terrans.
Honestly, I'm such a tech nerd that I'm really interested in understanding how the SETI@Home client works. I spent some time learning about FFT in school and think that this is one of the best applications I've seen of it. That and the program makes a really cool screen saver. Alas, the curse of being an engineer :o)
