Personal background
I'm a television director in Tulsa, Oklahoma. I've always been fascinated by space since I was a small child. I've always been the "Weird" one in my family, but that's OK.

I'm 28, and I enjoy body piercing, guns, music, and God. I think that there can be a universe with both God, and aliens. I'd like to see how they'd rate compared to us.

It looks like I could be getting married soon. My long time boyfriend and I have talked about it. He's also interested in space and he runs Seti as well. I've processed more units than he has. :)
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I do think there is someone out there. I'm guessing that there is someone out there far more advanced than we are. I also have a feeling that if they can see us, they probably think that we are a pretty violent species. They could possibly be afraid to make contact with us because they are afraid of how it would affect us as a people. I would have to guess that we're probably being studied very quietly so we won't be disturbed. Maybe at the right time, we'll make first contact.

I think it's a good idea to transmit a beacon. It lets anyone out in space know that we're here, and willing to communicate and learn. But, as humans, we have to mature greatly as a race in order to actually benefit from any alien contact.
