Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I'm sure life exists; to quote from the movie "Contact" "...it's an awful waste of space!". If we sent a beacon, it will be probably be recieved by civilizations far in our future; considering how volatile and wastefule the human species is, i doubt there will be anyone here to greet them if they come a callin'.
